Got the personal pizza and it was very good. A little wait but it was well worth it!
Always a great visit. Our server was great. Place was filling up and she kept things going. 119th and Ridgeview are my favorite locations. West Lawrence is ok as well. Didn't much care for the Power and Light location. Will try the Lee's Summit location soon.

Had a dinner party for 18 planned at another restaurant the day after Christmas and those plans did not go as expected. Called Johnny’s last minute and they assured us they had room for us. Went straight over and had a fantastic evening. Dinner and service were phenomenal! Thanks for saving the party!!
I came in last Saturday for a Cast & Crew afterparty for my school’s musical. We had upwards of 60-70 people, mostly high schoolers, and we took up the whole back section. As someone who works in a restaurant not much larger than this, I was worried that the food would come out slow due to how crowded we were. This turned out to not be an issue, however, as the wonderful staff got enough food out to feed everyone perfectly. This greatly elevated our afterparty, everyone enjoyed themselves thoroughly, and nobody left hungry. The manager Katie was such a great help to us, and our two servers were absolutely amazing. The amount of professionalism and excellent service this restaurant showed is honestly spectacular. I highly recommend coming here, the service is great and the food is even better. If you’re looking for a nice place to have a relaxed meal, Johnny’s Tavern is the place to go.
Definitely a sports bar but also a sit down type of place but if you're watching a K.C. Chiefs game. Place to be. The day I went, they did a trivia competition and that was fun. Food was excellent and prices are reasonable and the service was real good.
I’ve dined at this location twice and both times the manager came out unsolicited to ask if everything was ok and thanked me for coming in. Class act. Had a great Wilson Chicken sandwich this time.
